Hold Policy. At Bent On Better, we recognize the need for flexibility in your fitness journey. Our hold policy offers multiple options based on your membership type.  Please note, depending on the timing of your hold request, your billing dates may be adjusted. You are responsible for submitting your own hold request.  Bent On Better is not responsible for and will not honor any other form of request. If you choose to cancel your membership during the hold period, the standard 28-day written cancellation notice requirement stated in your membership agreement is applicable. If you choose to reactivate your membership after it is cancelled, membership rates in effect at the time of reactivation will be applicable (membership rates are subject to change).

General Hold Requests:
Advance Notice: Submit hold requests at least two days prior to the desired start date.
Medical Holds: No set limit on the length with a doctor’s note. Unused sessions during a billing cycle can be credited upon return. Access to physical facilities is suspended during a hold, but digital programs are available at no extra cost.

Here’s a clear breakdown of our hold options:

Month-to-Month Service
Hold Option: Place your membership on hold for a $29 fee for up to four weeks. You can extend this hold for up to 12 weeks per year. Standard dues resume automatically post-freeze period. Billing dates may adjust accordingly.

Annual Service Members
Complimentary Hold: Enjoy a one-time, up to four-week hold, fee-free, for any reason.
Membership Extension: Time on hold will be billed as scheduled and added to your membership term, ensuring you don't lose any time.
Request Process: Submit the online Service Hold Request form or email us at [email protected] at least two days in advance. Exceptions are made for health-related emergencies.
Retroactive Holds: Not honored without a legitimate doctor’s note. Submit documentation via email for review to [email protected].
Cancellation During Hold: The standard 28-day cancellation notice applies. If reactivated, prevailing membership rates will apply.

Summer Freeze Policy (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
Month-to-month & Annual Service Members:
Seasonal Hold: Opt for a summer freeze at 25% of your regular membership fee. Physical facility access is suspended, but you’ll have access to our digital programs, including workout content and messaging access to coaches within the Bent On Better app.

Paid in Full Service
Complimentary Hold: Place your membership on hold once for up to four weeks, suspending access to facilities and services.
Extended Hold: After the complimentary hold, select any duration of hold (up to one year) for a $49 fee per request (max two request within one calendar year).
